I was born in 1972 and grew up with my grandparents in the countryside. This has instilled in me a love of nature, animals, and the simple life. I find this often helps me to take a pragmatic view of things, to tackle things where necessary, and to achieve my goals without attracting too much attention.

After my grandparents passed away and I completed my nursing training, I wanted to become a midwife. What was supposed to be an internship in England turned into a midwifery degree in beautiful Canterbury, Kent. To improve my school English beforehand, I worked as a nanny and as a horse riding guide in Fort Augustus, Scotland...but that's another story.

Finally, my desire to return to Germany brought me to the birth center in Frankfurt. The working methods there best suited my respectful attitude toward women and babies, which I had learned in midwifery in England. I would like to extend special thanks to my community midwife, Jane Scates, whose approach to working in the home setting had a lasting impact on me as a midwife. I worked at the birth center for several years until I started my own family and moved to Oberursel. Over the course of my career, so many lovely families have placed their trust in me, for which I thank them all from the bottom of my heart!
