WHAT I CAN TELL YOU ABOUT MYSELF
I was born in 1972 and grew up in the countryside with my grandparents. There, I developed a love of nature, animals, and the simple life – values that continue to shape me today. After completing my nursing training, my path led me to England, where a planned internship turned into midwifery studies in Canterbury. To improve my English, I had previously worked as a nanny and horseback riding guide in Scotland – but that's another story. The desire to return to Germany brought me to the birthing centre in Frankfurt. The way of working there matched the respectful attitude towards women and babies I had learned in England, where I was particularly influenced by my community midwife Jane Scates, whose work in the home continues to inspire me. After several years at the birthing centre, I started my own family and have lived in Oberursel ever since. Over all these years, I have been able to accompany many wonderful families – I am infinitely grateful for their trust. If you'd like, I can accompany you too.

During your pregnancy
I look forward to accompanying you during this special time. Every pregnancy brings with it questions, uncertainties, and sometimes challenges – I'm here to offer you advice and support. I'll take the time you need to provide personalized care tailored to your needs.

After the birth, an amazing time begins, full of love, questions, and new challenges. Sleep deprivation, insecurities, and the many little firsts—all of this is part of the experience. I'm here to give you security and confidence in dealing with your baby during this exciting time.
My support for you includes:

- Breastfeeding advice and/or bonding-oriented bottle feeding

Networking
Pregnancy and the early days with a baby bring with them many questions. To ensure you don't feel alone, I'll connect you with other women in my care. Together, you can share experiences, support each other, and receive valuable advice.

Abroad
Do you live abroad and are looking for an experienced, German and English-speaking midwife? I offer personalised care tailored to your situation—for a safe and relaxed start with your baby.
My offer for you:

Compensation is based on your needs, is regulated by contract and invoiced privately.
This means you are well looked after even when abroad!

Mediation
I completed training as a mediator in 2018. Mediation is a structured process in which conflicting parties, with my support as a mediator, voluntarily and independently work out a mutually acceptable solution to their conflict.
The birth of a child and the associated changes often put our relationships to the test. Conflicts often arise not only within a couple, but also in relationships with parents, in-laws, siblings, or best friends. To prevent such conflicts from becoming unnecessarily entrenched, I am always available as a mediator.
Of course, I also work as a mediator in other contexts. My goal is to work with all parties involved to find sustainable solutions that are satisfactory for all parties.
THIS IS HOW IT ALL WORKS FOR YOU
After our initial telephone contact, we'll arrange a first meeting at your home. Pregnancy, birth, and the first few weeks with your baby are very personal—therefore, it's important you feel happy that I, as your midwife, am a good fit for you.
This is how my complete, all-inclusive package of care and support works:
- Once you have agreed and signed up, I will accompany you until your child's first birthday.
- During your pregnancy, I will be at your side for preventative care, advice and any questions you may have.
- After the birth, I will visit you regularly – initially daily, later as needed.
Additionally, you can network with other mothers and participate in open meetings which I also attend. This provides you with support and valuable opportunities for exchange.

She gave us tremendous support right from the start of our pregnancy. And her support often went beyond the professional level (which was fantastic). Whatever our worries and fears, she had the right words to ease them.
The postnatal care was also simply fantastic. Betty was there for us immediately after we were discharged from the hospital and supported us over the following months in a way we never expected. She was so warm and caring with our little one. After a few weeks, it really felt like meeting a family member.
Betty was always easy to reach and always came to us promptly whenever we had a concern. Our little one is due this month, and we're truly sad that the care is coming to an end. We will always have fond memories of that time. Thank you so much for everything!
